Chennai GMPians' meet XLRI GMP 2009-2010 batch

Last Sunday (16-May-2010), future GMPians from Chennai got an opportunity to talk to a few people from the GMP 2009-2010 batch.

It was the first meet with the Alumni for the Chennai GMPians.

Seniors were of all praise for this program. Every one of them is satisfied with the program and its prospects.

Some interesting facts:

  1. XLRI Dean has announced that XLRI GMP will be the flagship program of XLRI !! Now there is only one dean for BM, PMIR and GMP programs.
  2. Faculty is one among the best in India & Asia Pacific - not only for HR, but also for other disciplines.
  3. The program will be rigorous. Just to give a feel of the program, classes will be from 9AM to 9 PM during the induction program (held for 3 days starting June 12)!!
  4. Students will be very dynamic and participate in various events in spite of the tight program schedule.
  5. There will be international immersion program, where students will go to various abroad universities in groups. They will get opportunity to listen to lectures along with having a first-hand experience of the working in the industry at the respective countries.
  6. People from diverse backgrounds and experience participate in this program. So, students learn quite a lot from the peers in addition to what they learn from faculty.
  7. Adventure tour and Village trip programs will be very good and they will create good bonding among the students at the same time exposing students to realities & hardships of life.
